⁴⁴ The Amorites who dwell in that hill country came out against you and chased you like bees, beating you down from Seir all the way to Hormah. ⁴⁵ You came back and wept before the Lord, but the Lord would not pay attention to your voice nor give ear to you. ⁴⁶ So you stayed in Kadesh for a long time, all the days that you spent there.
